CarryOnWorkspace is an independent publication about gear for people who work away from a fixed desk. Keeping it running costs money, and affiliate commissions are how we pay for it.
How we make money
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We also participate in other retailer and manufacturer affiliate programs.
What this does not change
It does not change what we recommend. We choose products on weight, durability, connectivity, warranty, and whether they survive being carried through an airport every week — never on commission rate. A product that pays us nothing will still win a category if it is the right answer.
We also tell you when we have not tested something. Where a recommendation is based on manufacturer specifications and retail availability rather than hands-on use, we say so in the article.
